SUMMER VIBES all day at this laid-back coastal wedding at Bay Head Yacht Club and Boat House! We’re so glad to have been a part of Maureen and Clark’s celebration. I can’t get over what a perfect day we had, and with help from Kim at Details Made Simple, everything went according to plan. The ceremony took place at the Boat House at BHYC which they exited by boat and took a short ride to the venue for cocktail hour. The bridal party consisted of immediate family, which included mostly kids, three of their own. Between heirloom details, witnessing the love within their families, and this wedding taking place on the water, I couldn’t be more thrilled to share with you one of our favorite weddings to date!
Love it? Pin it!
Both the Bride and Groom got ready at nearby beach houses in Bay Head. As I was photographing Maureen’s details, her engagement ring really had me in awe. I had to tell her how gorgeous it was and she told me how the stone and the wedding band have been passed down through generations. Not only was that an heirloom, but wait until you see the photo of the garter! It’s literally almost 100 years old and still beautiful! The ring bearer’s box included a burlap bow with Cheerios instead of the rings. How cute is that? What a genius idea! Clark got ready with his two sons, it couldn’t have been any sweeter. Seeing Dad help with the ties, the way the boys looked at him, this part of the day really had my heart!

Ceremony at Bay Head Yacht Club Boat House Chapel + Boat Ride
It was our first time photographing a ceremony inside the Boat House Chapel and it was beautiful! With plenty of gorgeous natural light, it allowed us to photograph from every angle without having to think of our lighting equipment. The guests’ reactions to the flower girl were priceless! I also love that the boat is docked and ready for their exit. We took a short boat ride across the river to the venue and we were able to photograph it from the boat and from the dock.
