Sarah and Joe's wedding at Molly Pitcher in Red Bank, NJ was absolutely beautiful! I love the different colored blue bridesmaid dresses paired with the groomsmen gray suits and white kicks! Sarah looked absolutely flawless, and Joe's first look at her says it all. Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs.!
Both the Bride and Groom got ready at the Molly Pitcher Inn which is always awesome for us (and the guys take no time to get ready!). We started off with some of the details and finishing touches on Sarah's makeup (Hair and Makeup by Beauty on Location NJ). They exchanged gifts and both of them nearly cried! So sweet! Sarah was really impressed with how much thought Joe put into this. From the flamingos on the card to the actual gift... nailed it, Joe! Sarah did a first look with her father which is always (in my opinion) one of the best moments of the day! All of this while Joe and his groomsmen had a few laughs at the bar..haha! Oh and her bridal portraits are absolutely stunning. I didn't realize this in person but after going through the images, she totally reminds me of Angelina Jolie!
First Look and Portraits
The plan was to have the first look out on the dock. Our advice is to always go with the flow and not let anything ruin your day! It turned out to be too windy so luckily we had large windows inside to keep the natural light style our couples love and it worked out perfect for the first look! I love Joe's face when he first sees his bride! Hers too! Such a happy moment between just the two of them. We grabbed a few portraits of them before going over to Riverside Gardens and they totally killed it! That one black and white one looks like a straight up magazine ad. I am glad we made a last minute decision to go over to the park, too. It offered them so much more variety! Again going with the flow! We made it back to Molly Pitcher with just enough time to grab a few family portraits and a few more of just the two of them in soft pretty light with the water and blue sky in the background.
Sarah and Joe had their wedding ceremony planned for indoors all along. She felt that if she had her hopes up for an outdoor ceremony and it rained, she would be upset so they didn't even put themselves in that position. I like the way they think! It was actually a little windy so that wouldn't have been fun anyway! So great that the venue had large windows with a view of the water.
With any wedding that does a first look, we always plan to grab a couple "just married" photos and I am so glad we did! Check out that sky! Such beautiful light for sunset and those colors are just amazing. I absolutely love the greenery in the centerpieces which I'm pretty sure I overheard them say made it all the way from California! They paired perfectly with the pop of color from the hydrangeas and was a good contrast in height. Well thought out! I absolutely love the first dances, too. They may have given us one of our favorites to date! The way he spun her around and held onto her, oh my gosh. I LOVE that photo! Sarah's one must have was a night shot in front of the venue. Love how it came out! We actually gave her a little more variety with it so it's always awesome when we can take a couple's vision and also make it our own. The reception dancing was crazy fun, as I'm sure you'll see in the photos below!
