What a beautiful wedding day for two people who have been in love for 12 years and have known each other for even longer! Everything about this wedding was romantic and intimate, with about 60 of their closest friends and family there to witness. It was perfect in every way! We even took a boat ride from the ceremony to the reception. Keep reading and check out some of the photos below!
Wedding Ceremony on Sea Bright Beach in New Jersey
Sunny skies and a warm breeze in September. Exactly what a "local summer" here is in New Jersey and what everybody dreams of for their September wedding. Their ceremony took place on Sea Bright public beach. The kids came down the aisle with wooden signs and flowers in their baskets, and Angela and Greg read their own vows which was truly beautiful to witness! Angela's dress was simple with lace detail and she wore a flower crown full of greenery and a stunning bouquet with air plants made by her friend. One of my favorite bouquets to date!
Wedding Photos on the Beach in Sea Bright NJ
After the wedding ceremony, we took bride and groom portraits on Sea Bright's public beach. The sun was shining, which gave us beautiful blue skies for a backdrop!
Wedding Photos on a Boat on the Shrewsbury River
After a few portraits on the beach, we headed to a marina where Greg had his boat docked. Greg is an avid boater, fisherman, hunter, diver.. pretty much anything to do with the water! The boat ride on the Shrewsbury River was so much fun, and being in their element really let them let loose and get the party started for the rest of the day! We arrived at the venue, Shrewsbury Sailing and Yacht Club where the guests were there and welcomed them with cheers and hugs!
Rustic and Romantic Wedding Details for a summer wedding in shrewsbury nj
Such pretty details! The centerpieces were simple. Mason jars with lace, jute and burlap accents were the vases for the roses and babies breath which added that romantic touch with the soft colors. Lanterns, too, which I love because all of this stuff can be repurposed for their home decor! Rustic signs and mercury candle holders were found throughout the room as well. Oh and string lights! Just another little touch that really helped with the whole outdoor, rustic, summer wedding vibe. Their favors were tulips and succulents in burlap bags and little metal buckets. Super cute! Again, EVERYTHING was able to be repurposed! Lawn games for cocktail hour kept the guests entertained while they waited for the bride and groom to arrive by boat.
Romantic Sunset Portraits at Shrewsbury Sailing and Yacht Club in NJ
The sunset over the Shrewsbury River was just glorious! The colors in the sky were ahhh-mazing! Pink, blue and purple, oh my! We got a pretty killer silhouette that I'm saving for the end of this blog post, but make sure you check that out, too! Pulling the bride and groom away from their party is not something we typically like doing, however if we can just squeeze out a few minutes in the most gorgeous light of the day, you will not regret it! This is possibly the only time where the bride and groom get to be alone on their wedding day, and these guys were so freaking adorable to photograph! They literally danced their way through photos, and I couldn't even intervene because they were having too much fun enjoying each others company. :)
